We went north for one reason...

...and ended up doing everything but that! Allison initially planned this weekend getaway to the North Shore of Lake Superior in order to watch the Perseid Meteor Shower, which happens around the second week of August each year. Unfortunately we were greeted by clouds, clouds, a bit of sun, and then more clouds. But while we weren't able to stargaze at night, we made up for it with two days filled with beautiful sightseeing around this stunning area. If you haven't been to the North Shore, we can't recommend it enough - there are so many cute little towns and stunning lookouts all the way from Duluth to Grand Marais and beyond.
